Lagunitas Pils

Disappointing, surprisingly.

Medium gold and hazy, lots of carbonation and a thin, white lace-producing head are what you can expect from Lagunitas Pils.  The bouquet starts sweet and carmelly and turns a bit tart, but not too.  It’s kind of syrupy andtoo thick.  There is some quality about it that I don’t like.  Maybe a bit buttery?  Are the hops a bit sulphury?  I’m not sure, but I do know the finish is dryish and that I wouldn’t recommend it for the price, which was $1.79 for a single 12 oz. bottle.  47/100
