Zywiec Porter

Nearly opaque brown, Zywiec Porter pours a massive beige head and gives off a rusty, coffee bouquet.  The lacing is like beige paint on the side of the glass – thick and opaque.  The taste has elements of licorice and burnt coffee, and is kind of bitter.  At 9.5% ABV, it’s pretty heavy and almost too much.  The rust taste is pretty strong all the way through, and I couldn’t force myself to finish the 16.9 oz. bottle.  I had Donna try it and she said it tastes like pennies.  She’s right.   33/100 Porter
