Boulevard Pale Ale is deep amber with a slight haze (bottle conditioning), substantial tan head, generous lacing and a goodly amount of visible carbonation. The bouquet is hoppy with a hint of honey in the malt, and maybe some orange. It’s medium-bodied, smooth as silk and not too sweet, yet there is more honey notes deep down. There is a malty backbone that becomes more noticeable as the beer warms, and it is a good base for the other flavorful aspects imparted by the hops. A tanginess and pleasant bitterness is present in the finish. The aftertaste has some caramel and just enough dryness for a pale ale. Not too hoppy for the malt people, but hoppy enough to be a lighter go-to beer for the hophead. A well done 5.4% ABV pale ale!
