Guinness Foreign Extra Stout

This is the real deal, stout lovers!

Wow, this is exciting!  This is the real deal, stout lovers.  This 7.5% ABV stout pours black with just a hint of dark ruby when held up to the light.  Guinness Foreign Extra produces a huge, frothy head, tan in color, almost having the consistency and staying power of whipped cream.  It leaves a lot of lace as the level drops as well.  Foreign Extra has a nice roasted malt bouquet with some coffee and smoke, and just a hint of butterscotch way down deep.  Wonderful flavor and texture, like rich coffee with a tangy kick, although the higher alcohol content is well hidden.  There’s even a touch of vanilla in the end.  The finish is dry, with more coffee and pleasant bitterness.  Great balance between the malt and hops, with the hops making their presence known without taking the focus off of the amazing, rich malt. And check out the great lace when you’re done!  Guinness Foreign Extra is GREAT!  95/100 Stout
