Perla Chmielowa

That's what I was going to say.

I’m a fan of Polish lagers.  The ones I’ve come across are in general pretty good.  Let’s add another one to that list.  Perla Premium Pils Beer is clear gold with a fair amount of carbonation that produces a thin head that lasts, although it leaves very little lacing.  The bouquet is hoppy, on the rusty side, but clean enough and with a nice hint of malt, on the carmel-butterscotch side.  It’s smooth in the mouth, and a little creamy.  The finish is hoppy and dry, a tad bitter, with a little more malt sweetness in the backend of the finish, and a hint of alcohol (6.2% ABV) remaining.  $1.49 for a 1 pt., .09 oz bottle is nice too.  I’d recommend it, and would say it would go well with sausage-heavy nothern Europena fare.
