Tart Side of the Moon is a Belgian-inspired Dark Farmhouse Ale from Brewery Vivant, Grand Rapids, MI.
* Pours black with a minimal, single-layer head, decent lacing.
*Good dose of chocolate in the nose, some cherry tartness.
* Rich but not too heavy.
* Tart at first, but not overly, followed by a touch of chocolate and coffee. A bit of yeast dankness.
* Rustic but well-crafted, with a dry finish and a 9.8% ABV burn in the nose.
Try it, you’ll like it.
