Rye Hatter, Rye P. A., is the spicier cousin of Mad Hatter, but the family trait of excellence is just as strong throughout the New Holland family.  Rye Hatter sits beneath a big, gloppy, long-lasting head, and once that head settles a bit the well-balance strong hop and strong malt can be appreciated.  Is it a bit hazy?  Maybe.  Good caramel notes and pleasant sweetness abound, with underlying spice and black peppercorn subtley adding dimension to the overall flavor profile. A bit of citrus sharpness adds a clean feel as well.  Rye Hatter is very drinkable, surprisingly smooth and at 6.12% ABV, it makes a solid impression.
