Anger Black IPA

greenbush-anger-black-ipaBlack as night, it looks alright!  Anger Black IPA from Greenbush Brewing Company in Sawyer, MI, reminds me of a super-hopped porter.  It floats a good beige head that leaves a generous amount of lace on the glass.  It’s lighter bodied than it looks, with some coffee bitterness and lots of roasted vibes.  The hops presence in the bouquet is prominent, but less so on the palate.  You will burp up pine tar essence for hours afterward, however.  This 7.6 ABV black IPA is very good, maybe a tad too dry for my liking, but it is a well-crafted and enjoyable beer.

90/100 Black IPA

(Angus Black, CPA sounds like an accountant in Edinburgh.)
