Burgkopf Pils

My German is not that good, but does Burgkopf mean “fortress head” in English?  Anyway, Burgkopf Pils is light gold, lightly carbonated and holds its splotchy head for but a short time.  The bouquet is a good balance of sweet, bread and spice, none of which are strong or overpowering of the other.  It tastes alright, but it’s weaker than expected and the the texture is very light.  A touch of sweetness up front, a bit of hoppy spiciness in the middle and some dryness in the finish.  It’s a typical Euro-macro-lager.  If you like Miller Light, you’ll like this.  55/100 Lager
