Honey Wheat Ale by America’s Brewing Company

Honey Wheat Ale is a hazy, cloudy gold ale with plenty of suspended particles, and not particularly well carbonated.  The head is thin, the bouquet is sweet and yeasty with just a touch of hops.  Honey Wheat Ale is citrusy in the mouth, a bit thin in texture, light-bodied, and is generally sweet with a cereal finish.  It is brewed with orange peel, coriander and honey, and all are noticeable to some degree.  It’s not bad, but it is just kind of weak in all of its traits, kind of like what I imagine a Blue Moon Light would taste like.  This is from America’s Brewing Company, the microbrewery attached to America’s Great Roundhouse restaurant in Aurora, IL, so I think availability is limited to the area.
