Bell’s Lager Beer

Bell’s Lager Beer, the “Lager of the Lakes”, is another beer in a long line of high quality beers from a brewer who has never made a bad beer.  Bell’s Brewery, Comstock, MI to be exact.  This medium-bodied lager pours a rich gold with plenty of visually appealing carbonation and a good 3/4″ head, which as I like, leaves a fair amount of lacing.  It’s got that classic eurolager smell (Urquell for example) and a well-balanced malt-to-hops flavor, with just a hint of berry sweetness and dry bitterness in the finish.  This is a very refreshing and drinkable summertime beer.  On top of all that, the label reminds me of summers spent in Pentwater and Ludington, MI, with its maritime and leisuretime themes.  Some of the best days of my life!  80/100 Lager
