Bell’s Consecrator Doppelbock

Bell’s Consecrator Doppelbock is reddish-brown, clear, slight visible carbonation

Get it on tap at the Bavarian Lodge, Lisle, IL.

and a consistent sparse head that hangs around for the duration, producing a fair amount of Brussels lace that casually slides down the sides of the glass. The bouquet is a bit rusty, sweet and alcoholy (8% ABV) with just a touch of brown sugar. Smooth, round and full-bodied without being heavy, Consecrator finishes with a dry hoppiness that lingers. Good stuff. 80 out of 100 on the beerbliographer scale.
